please clarify, do that mean a bon fire with neighbors, or your setting someone's house on fire?

My actual fire from last night

I did the front brakes on my dad's 1998 Grand Marquis. Unbelievably easy.

Now I am detailing it to sell it this week.

does your dad know your selling it this week? or are you just going to sell it and see if he notices?

Emailing craigslist sellers in an attempt to find a good rallycross car.

I should really get in the garage and put the carb for the challenge car back together.

Well, let me tell you. My department has a company vehicle, a 2008 subaru. On wednesday(my day off), I get an email that the cars battery is totally dead, but they got it jump started. "car guy" employee tells me this car has had a tough time starting all winter, and shouldn't have this problem, we should get a new battery. Car is leased and lease was up on April 1st, but with the turmoil in Japan, our replacement won't be here until Monday. I tell "car guy" to suck it up until Monday. Thursday is also my day off, and get an email that the car is dead, what should they do. The staff on Thursday are not car guys, so I tell them to call our vehicle maint department. They come jump the car, let it run to charge the battery. All should be fine right? So I had to jump start the car again today. I can't believe I'm the only one savvy enough to see the dome light was left in the "ON" position and not "auto".

Today is the first official day (we let the first business day slide) of Garage Month. We're enclosing the carport half of our half-carport/half-garage, and removing the middle wall.

It rains a lot nine months of the year here, and now I'll be able to work on cars and motorcycles, weld, and generally make stuff year-round. I am so excited...

I took the train into Berlin today to pick up the x0xb0x kit I accidentally won on Ebay, then I stopped off at a wicked vegetarian diner for some grub and an organic local beer. Good times. Now I'm home and I'm about to embark on an epic cleaning of the pandora's box of clutter that was once my living room. On Monday I'll probably go cruising around likely garbage pick-up spots in the hopes of finding a nice sturdy worktable on which to build my x0xb0x.

Went to the airport, a local with an uncontrolled tower, and started training for my Sailplane license. I got towed to 2000 feet in an older Blanik, I was up front and the instructor was in the back. Windy as hell with a 30 degree crosswind. At 800 ft. it calmed down, less rotor effect frome trees etc. Released from the tow plane at 2000 ft. and took the stick. It was intimidating.

Remember the first five times you drove a car? Everything seemed so big and there was a lot of information to absorb, now multiply that by three axis with lift - sink, new to the controls, try to read six gauges at a time and also look out the window before every move so you don't slam into another flying object.

Took two 45 minute hops, I climbed to 2600 ft. on the second one, I did not land! Too scary. I'm home and friends are coming for dinner. Eggplant parmesian, tossed salad and Tobasco butter bread.

Maybe a wine or two.

SWMBO leaves at 08:00 tomorrow for a week in San Antonio, I'm heading back to the airport.

Went to work this morning, then went to a trade show my company is at. Got the weedeater running (Thanks GRM!!!) pulled a bunch of dead branches out of the yard, cleaned out the flower beds, mowed the grass and trimmed. Now I'm taking a break and then putting rear brakes on the wifes car.

Unfortunately I have a fever and so does the wife, the only thing not completely slowed down around here is our 10 month old daughter who is still doing 100MPH laps around the house, on a high note I think through my extensive forum troling I have found a decent hood for my ae86 that is geographically favorable and affordable, a combination that seems hard to find on the east coast...

Oh and the Clermont Lounge has to be seen to be believed... I used to work at a shop just off Ponce and used to get dragged to that hole more times than i'd like to remember.

I cleaned the downstairs of the house. Its a small house, in case that made it sound big. Seriously cleaned the kitchen and rearranged some things for more space and a cleaner look. Also shaved the tip off my right index finger under some strange circumstances that would take too long to explain.

Was going to go to the gym this evening. Changed my mind, decided on this instead:

Planted some seeds as planned. Not outdoors, but in my seed starter box in my garage. Having a grow light on a timer in ones garage may make my neighbors wonder exactly what I am growing in there, but it just vegetable sprouts.

Got my cylinder head and 318 intake on the 2002. Then I fabricated some brackets to mount my new electric fan to. Still have to clean them up and paint them. Might do it tonight, so I can install the fan tomorrow. Trying to get my everlasting Megasquirt project finished in time to drive the car to the Mitty at the end of the month.
