We went to MA with my new trailer behind the Disco to pick up our BABE rally car for this year, a car with a GRM provenance
I also helped my mom cut up the framing from her old portable garage tent thing that had collapsed this year in the snow, after 11 years of good service.
Tomorrow will be working on the Lemons car all day
After work, I went for a ride and stopped by SlickDizzy's shop. Lots of interesting vehicles among the community shop.
Crusied through CL, found a good candidate motorcycle for Father-in-law, took him to check it out. Seller will put on a new tire for him and he'll probably bring it home early next week.
Cooked with fire when we got home. F-i-l brought some tasty steaks over. A Guiness or three and I'm just about ready for bed.
Sigh... I was hoping this would run or... at least roll by now. Got tied up at my son's season ender banquet or the head would have been on today. Tomorrow is going to be busy. I expect fire by noon, smokey burnouts by dinner.
Up way too early for me on a Saturday morning. Finally made it to the normal monthly breakfast at one of the local Masonic Lodges, my roommate is the current Junior Warden and another friend is the Worshipful Master this year. After breakfast went and helped a couple friends move. Then the girlfriend and I did some shopping, including a new wheel barrow and an electric chainsaw. Then home to use the new chainsaw for some yard work and doing the heavy lifting for the girlfriend's gardening projects. Then I discovered that not only is ESPN3.com on Xbox Live streaming ALMS, but the entirety of Sebring is available on demand. So, as of right now I am about two and a half hours into watching last weeks race.
Went to the window place to continue our search for clear anodized modern looking windows for the ongoing project house, drove to SE DC to see a bunch of said windows installed in a commercial setting, drove from there to Dupont Circle for tea+treasure hunt at a crazy mansion, went by the hardware store for a tube of clear silicone, back home where I disassembled 2 7x13 Kodiak wheels from the Radical, cleaned up the mating surfaces of the shells w/ a deburring wheel, polished the outer shells, bead blasted the inners, reassembled, torqued, wiped down w/ acetone and resealed.
The we had pho and watched a couple episodes of the last season on entourage.
First Saturday in months I haven't worked of a house or car all day.
Pho sounds so good.
Was going to go look at a couple cars today but yesterday I had 4 wisdom teeth removed so today was just a Percocet, ice pack and Top Gear day. Did make it out to the bank and get the cash, however.
Have a bday party for a girl at a dive bar in 20 minutes but looking like a chipmunk and still tender... might just pass.

That helicopter hovering over your house with the guys rappelling down the ropes? Dun worry 'bout it, they are just there to collect a certain card of yours...
Sorry, you kind of walked right into it dude, I'm getting visions of the murse debate on a local forum

ROFL! I guess I shouldn't admit that I babysat SHMBO's son so she could go to work. One day unemployed, and I was Mr. Mom already .

This is where I expose my ignorance. I flew a sailplane in the morning, had a nice meal with wine and friends in the late afternoon.
If you're busting my stones or getting in my shorts at least explain how.
Tanks.

I believe he might be hinting that engineless planes, vegetables, and beverages without bubbles are for the fairer sex. I'm not really sure.
This coming Saturday I will be at Barber watching Grand Am!
Woot!!!

Loss of "man card" because you can cook. Considering how we all joke around in here, I'm sure he meant no insult. Besides, these young guys should learn..a woman loves a man who can cook. When asleep, men dream of sex, women dream of food.
Me, OTOH..I'm seriously jealous that you fly sailplanes! Now that's berkelelying flying, and I can't even do it right with R/C models. I wanted to craft a proper insult, but then realized it was just jealousy.

Going on a group motorcycle ride in about an hour. I'm hoping for about 100 miles.
The ride was a dud. The roads I chose were pretty lackluster; I'll have to investigate them further myself. Oh well, a bad day of riding is better than a good day of work.
This upcoming Saturday: Looking at a house, then continuing to pack. If I can find the time I need to change the oil and transmission fluid on the Speed3.
I used to cook for a living, who do I turn my Card over to?
Some people just don't get it. I learned early on that a good cook is often the favorite member of any team. And now the wife isn't "tired" from making dinner.

Are you implying that she is pretending to be sick or tired just to avoid me then? I just thought she had one of those 15yr head colds.

Friday is my Pho day, and it was good.
The booster pump did everything I hoped it would, and I got both street bikes out for a ride Saturday.

If eating well, drinking wine, and generally not farting all the time are antirequisites of having a "man card", you'd better tell those helicopter guys to come over here next.
Don't fart in a sailplane!
