I always thought the Caddy hearse in The Warriors was perfect for the tension in those scenes.

Because everyone here knows it has 160 hp motor.  cheeky

What about the, less than PC, Pontiac (Bonneville?) from Smokin' Aces.  Certainly a very appropriate look for the characters:

I came here to post this one. It's "tasty".

It's made with raisins, you like raisins.

And for my nomination, I’m still going with the last of the V8s.

The camera work in that film is way above the budget of the movie.

The scene where he fires up the yellow four door Interceptor where it pans across the dual pipes burbling...pure sex.

Just the imagery of all of the dash warning lights going through their self test as he rolls the ignition on.

Duel is best watched late at night...in the dark. It's almost a horror movie, but without any blood. There are a couple jump scares, though. smiley

The truck is a good choice also:

From the Wikipedia page:

In what he called an "audition", Spielberg viewed a number of trucks. He selected the 1955 Peterbilt 281 over the contemporary, flat-nosed, "cab-over" style of trucks. The long hood of the older Peterbilt, its split windshield, and its round headlights give it more of a "face", adding to its menacing personality. Additionally, Spielberg said that the multiple license plates on the front bumper of the Peterbilt subtly suggest that the truck driver is a serial killer, having "run down other drivers in other states". For each shot, several people were tasked to make the truck progressively uglier, adding oil, grease, fake dead insects and other blemishes.
