Might I suggest you pick a used one up off of eBay, instead of buying crap? A used $500 camera will be way better than a new $100 camera.
New Olympus FE-Series point-and-shoot. I paid $70 for mine:
We have had good luck with the Kodak cameras. The wife and daughter have one each. I use a Sony H7 Cyber-shot bought on sale for $180. It has more functions and better resolution, but for general picture taking the Kodak cameras do a good job.
