My dad had one with chromed roller bits. He kept finding chrome bits in the pasta and s-can'd it.

Figured I'd update. I bought the electric one posted earlier. The first time was a pain in the ass. It took 5 tries to get the flour/water ratio correct, because even though the machine tells you what it should be, outside factors affect it (sea level, humidity, etc.). After 5 tries, it worked, and I wrote the ratio down. Tonight, using the same ratio, worked great. Dump it in, hit start, 15 mins later fresh pasta ready to boil.

Amazing.  I'll get one.  Thanks for the research.

What do you want in a pasta maker?

Flour, Egg, Oil, Salt.

Easy.

Seriously, my parents have one that clamps on the counter and rolls it out sweet. Probably higher end knowing them. KitchenAide mixer for the dough.

Fantastic though as it is a holiday tradition to gather around in the kitchen and make perogies, like a few hundred of them. Usually potato and cheese and sauerkraut potato. Damn fun while we make them and even more as we eat them later.

Might be weird for a Scot/Cubano to like Pol food but damn gimme some perogies!!!!
