I am the quality manager at a small company that works with machines that measure coating and plating thickness. Large X-Ray fluorescence units, desktop beta backscatter units, handheld electronic gauges.

I try to explain to others and I can see their eyelids droop as I speak. Not very exciting. (Although I have customers such as NASA, every car part and manufacturer themselves, Hitachi disk drive parts, etc.)

To answer the question, I currently deliver auto parts. I was a marketing specialist at one of the largest utility tool manufacturers in the US. It was sucking the life out of me.

I am a Shift Supervisor at North Coast Brewing. Just got promoted two weeks ago from "Brewer/Cellarman". I make Old Rasputin, Scrimshaw, and the rest of our great beers.

Research & Development Chemist at Clean Control Corporation, maker of a myriad of household cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing products. Our big product is OdoBan hard surface cleaner/disinfectant/deodorizer, available in WalMart, Sam's Club, and Home Depot nationwide!

Electrical Engineer. I'm sort of an integration, certification, and support guy. My work is on jet aircraft.

Sometimes I dream about doing this stuff on other sorts of vehicles.

IT peon/trainer/process engr/task master . . . I support a client with close to 7000 web applications. My "title" is Incident Managment Team Lead. We haven't missed one SLA since I took over about two years ago.

I also work at home . . .

I work as a metallurgical engineer at a copper/moly/gold company. Not what I expected to do going to college, but its pretty cool! Smelter: Flotation - had an old timer tell me I was a "bubble rancher" haha
