Just the GTV that I have been racing since we got it in '96. One of two cars that I plan to keep forever (the other being my '99 Miata that I bought new).

That was a picture someone took of me at the AROC Convention many years ago. I have others, but it's a nice one I like.

Racing is like hockey- you associate the drivers with the cars, since you can't see their faces.

Starts w/ childhood heroes... sometime around junior high and w/ my introduction to Mary Jane I realized I would be no John Glenn, my sports career was dimming also as I preferred turning wrenches vs physical training, discipline was not my bag. Still maintained career/ life goals as we all do, take time to reevaluate:

Maytag Repairman was totally attainable. Through 30 plus years in the trades I kept missing that elite mark until the new job. Defining moment came when new boss said 'you're a real Maytag Repairman, ain't ya.' They don't really expect much more btw.

Mission accomplished.

An alternative (international market?) album cover for Devo's "Duty Now For The Future". I'm a big Devo fan. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I think that title and logo sort of capture some of how Devo managed to me to speak to both the earnest and cynical takes on this crazy, beautiful world and all the wacky people in it...

If you haven't already, check out more Devo. The Men Who Make The Music is awesome, if you like them...

Me drifting in an old AE86. In the college days I used to go out to remote twisty back roads and get sideways for fun with a buddy with a P1800 and another friend who had a lifted and stiffened Rabbit GTI. We called it "rally driving" back then. Good times!

I live with one of these diabolical felines. I shall mourn her inconsolably as I celebrate the day she dies. Conflicting little berkeleywads that they are.

The Millennium Escort. I like to do things the unusual (hard) way sometimes, just to defy conventional practice/wizdom just to show the me-to-ers that it can be done. In this case I'm in the process of attempting to build a 2002 Ford Escort sedan (non-Zetec) into no-kidding competitive ITB race car. NEVER tell me the odds!!!

I miss having animated avatars. Mine was badass, it was an X-ray of my leg that my friend made into an animated gif:

That car got me hooked on those damn Doubleshot. My son and i saw it at Mid Ohio and in the paddock they had a cooler of cans of the stuff for fans to take. I took one, shared it with my kid and we started talking to one of the crew guys. We ended up with like 5 cans. Good memory.
