We have had multiple what cars and we have had what cars would you buy if you won the lottery.
But what would your first car you would buy be?
The first one is always the most special.
A buddy of mine asked me that question the other day and I cannot come up with an answer.
So what say you GRM? What would your first car buy be if you instantly became stupidly rich?

A Ford Transit Connect and swap it to a manual transmission
I can think of absolutely no better way for me to spend 320 thousand doctor who money.

Whatever thing on my bucket list was for sale locally RIGHT THEN. Because screw waiting, I'm rich!
...and then I'd order a Porsche 918 Spyder because screw enjoying what you have, I'm rich!
honestly, a 1974 Monte Carlo SS 454 with a factory 4 speed... very rare car, and my favorite body style ever..
then i'd go to a Chevy dealer and buy a new Z/28 Camaro and Z06 Corvette..
My instinct is to say Pagani, because it requires stupid money and is pretty damn special by every measure. But that's leaving all common sense aside.

This or any rally car/homologation car I could get to first.

My first post-lottery car? Probably an Audi RS7 in battleship grey. Then I'd use it to tour around the country in safety, speed, and comfort shopping for the rest of my post-lottery cars.
I'd order a McLaren P1 first because those could possibly go out of production at some point, and then when I get off the phone with McLaren I'd start looking at shops to build me something much like an Ultra4 Unlimited truck but with a cabin, because that will take months to build anyway and it can be done any time.
Yes the 918 is faster but the P1 seems like a better overall package, and it's more like an "old school" supercar than anything else at that level, so I'd get to own one before they're obsolete.
Edit: Actually P1 production has ended, I'll have to buy one used. My no-new-car-buying streak continues!
GRTechguy beat me to it. My other choice would be an eagle speedster
Or a Kirkham 289 Cobra
Easy, 911 Turbo.
Exclusive, fast, expensive BUT easy to drive, somewhat practical and probably no waiting list to get one. I'd go to the factory to pick it up, then hit the autobahn, then drive it to all of the other dealers to buy all the other cars that I would be buying.

I would hire someone with way more skills than me to finish the Molvo
And while waiting, I would be driving this to my place of "non work":
For me, there has been no supercar worthy of lust since the F1.
Snoop Dog style sprinter van so I can comfortably be driven to the locations to view all of the other cars I am going to purchase.

There are people with some more skills than you but I don't think there's anyone with way more skills than you
In terms of my existing projects, I'd move my Corolla to a high-end race shop, and hire a theatre troupe to show up at the engine builder's shop while he's there and perform an amazing flash-mob musical number with lyrics written by myself, based around "berkeley you." I would have a cameo role, I'd try to learn a little singing and tapdancing for it.
I thought about his with the Powerball was at a billion. Because I'd want to remain incognito for a while and spend my money slowly (after setting up a blind trust and then a few financial consultants to make the money work for me), I'd buy a new Chevy SS 6 speed in black, green or blue (I like all three colors). Big and comfortable, plenty quick and very mundane looking. Plus, easy to find on a dealer lot.
After traveling the world for a year with the family, I'd come back to Texas, buy land and have a HUGE garage built and start filling it with whatever strikes my fancy that day. From Ferrari's to Civics.

A new Suburban.
Then I'd have mechanics go over every car/truck I own and do all the things I've always thought were cool but finances got in the way.
The CSPish Miata would get a full SSM build to rail Nationals
The '99 Suburban would get the "Track Bus" makeover. Gutted, caged, manual swap, stupid Hoosiers, 1,000 hp fire breathing engine, 6 racing seats, and painted school bus yellow. For no other reason than I think it would be funny.
The Passat would get twin turbos and some fun suspension work. Just to have a daily wagon with 700 hp.
And finally the elderly Ranger would get a 5.0 and a mild lift. Nothing fancy or over the top, just make it a bit nicer.
A '65 / 66 Studebaker convertable
It would shortly be joined by many of it's brothers, but this would be the first one.
