Brandy Old Fashion Sour.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Fashioned
The 'normal' way to make it is to use the Old Fashion mix, with your choice of booze and choice soda (7up/Sprite for sweet and 50/50 or Sour soda for ....sour)
The real way is muddling a orange slice with a teaspoon of sugar and a maraschino cherry in a small tumbler (an Old Fashioned glass), a couple dashes of bitters, and then dump the ice and the booze and a splash of soda.
Or all you have to do is come to a supper club here in Wisconsin and order one from the bar tender and be in cocktail bliss.

The Sobe product line includes the name "Tsunami". It's a sweet cream and orange tasting concoction. Mix it with the vodka of your choice and it's a smooth, wonderfully debilatating summer drink.
Beer drinkers owe it to themselves to try Dogfish Head 90 Minute Pale Ale.
I've never been a big fan of beer, but I will have the occasional scotch of whisky. Of them I like Johnny Walker Green the mostest. (my birthday is next week if anyone needed a gift idea)
Beer:
If I'm feeling fancy Blue Moon.
If I'm not Labatt Blue.
If I'm feeling poor High Life.
Pop:
Dr Pepper and Pepsi Throwback.
The other 99% of what I drink is City of Dayton tap water.

Their [Schafly] Pumpkin Ale is just outstanding.
Because it needed to be said again.
As for soda, I'm with Pub. Throwback all the way.
Drink of choice would be Crown Royal and coke.
Next would be Effen black cherry vodka and Dr. Pepper (esp the cane sugar/throwback stuff)
Hennessy and Remy and coke isn't bad either
Mojitos or pineapple mojitos.
Any decent vodka and coke or dr pepper or pineapple juice or oj will suffice as well. Costco vodka is just as good as goose/belvedere in my book. Cruzan rum is pretty good stuff. Also down for Patron, Cabo Wabo or any decent tequila.
Beers; Guiness, Delirium Tremens, Hoegaarden but I usually end up with Pyramid Hef or Corona or Bud light, whatever my buddies bring over. When I go to Texas I get Shiner Bock from the tap. Would like to try Yeungling but it's not avail anywhere near me on the west coast.
I don't drink much though.
I'm another one addicted to Dihydrogen Monoxide. Never did get a taste for beer, haven't had one in 15 years.
Other than that, sometimes I'll drink decaf Coke (not allowed to have caffeine), or the wife and I have a glass of white zinfandel once in a blue moon.

Vodka. I can't do vodka since a bad experience with it, but since then I've found that I DO like White Russians if they are made with a quality vodka. My choice is either Kirkland (Costco) or Tito's.
The best vodka you can buy at a reasonable price is Wybora (my spelling might be off). There are two kinds, the regular, and the "exquisite". I normally HATE straight vodka, but this stuff is NOTHING like Smirnoff, you can drink it straight and it actually tastes good.
Tequila tastes better the more drunk you are. Most people will probably prefer silver as it's smoother.

You know that contains a lot Dihydrogen Monoxide right?
Of course I know that. Silly snorklewacker.
In reply to mtn:
Every day beer - Coors light or Molson Export. Would be Yuengling if they sold it in Ohio.
Non-every day beers - Kirin Ichiban, Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold, Great Lakes Burning River.

People make fun of me for drinking Coors Light, I think it's the perfect everyday beer. They also seem to think its for people on diets... the only thing light about it is its coloring/taste and alcohol content.

Sailor Jerry and ginger beer. Real ginger beer is not easy to find, but worth it. Dark and stormy, oh my!
My favorite drink is sweet tea.
When I have alcoholic stuff, it tends to vary.
I'm not into real fancy drinks. Don't drink the hard stuff or any foo-foo drinks and never really got into wine. I will drink wine if it's around but don't go out of my way. Prefer beer and not really any of the fancy named beer. Amber is my preference. Yeungling is my brand of choice, Miller Lite if Yeungling isn't available. I was in Alaska a couple weeks ago for work and tried their local brand called Alaskan Amber. It has got to be about the best beer I've had. If you run across it, try it.

Is that (spelled based on pronunciation) Shlee-vo-witz??? Aka the stuff they drink at Serbian Orthodox Weddings? I had that the first time I ever got drunk, at a cousins wedding when he married a girl who was (obviously) Serbian Orthodox.
That's it.

That's Wybrova.
Try also Luksusova. It's real potato vodka, and even better IMO.
Water, Coke and Sweet Tea. I had an alcoholic Great Uncle and Dad had a bud who was nursing a case of Cirrhosis of the liver. You can't convince me it's fun to drink that stuff.
Beer. Especially Belgian or Belgian style ales. Trying to pick a favorite is tough. But top picks include:
North Coast PranQster (or pretty much anything else from North Coast)
Allagash Curieax
Grimbergen Dubble
Affligem Trippel and Noel (again... pretty much anything from them)
my own Belgian Blonde
Lagunitas L'il Sumpin' Sumpin'
Hard liquor, I like whiskey. Especially Scotch.
Wine: I'm partial to South American reds. I love Argentinian Malbec.
Need to give a plug to Terrapin. Great people and they are located where i live, Athens Georgia. Been able to tour their facility several times during their brew days. I love their Golden Ale, the Rye Pale Ale, and their Sun Ray Wheat Beer. The IPA is good but i am not a fan.
Just yesterday i bought some Rye Squared which is a small batch beer and delicious. When i don't feel like spending as much i buy Yuengling which is still great.

When I was in Slovakia years ago, I was offered that instead of my morning coffee. I was thinking that these people really know how to party but they just have one shot and then eat their eggs or whatnot. I found it to be a bit strong.

Hold onto hope. In October, Yuengling bought an old Coors Brewery in Memphis, TN. The plan is to expand offerings across the Midwest.

A guy I know in the beer business tells me the reason it is not sold in Ohio is because Yuengling can not currently produce enough to meet the expected demand in Ohio. Since beer sales are controled by the State of Ohio, Yuengling is not allowed to sell into Ohio until they can satisfy the whole state. That is, it can not be approved for just portions of the state. It is either then whole state or none.
My friend also goes on to say that Ohio has like the 5th highest beer consumption in the nation so satisfying the whole state is quite a large number of bottles.
What makes Ohio unique is that it has 3 major metro areas in one state (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincicinnati). That is quite rare. Neighboring states have typically just one or maybe two (Indiana - Indianapolis, Kentucky - Louisville, Illinois - Chicago)
Hmmmm, we loathe that we can't get that here in OK.
I brought back 6 cases from Nashville when I was there in March.

And here I thought we all drank a lot just because we have to live here!
Thanks for the information. I had heard a different story about why it's not sold here, but I forget what it was other than Ohio required some ingrediant that wasn't in it. But that could have been incorrect. The good thing is that I'm going to PA Saturday for an autocross, so I'm picking up a couple cases!

My everyday beer used to be Mich Light, but they changed the formula a year or two ago and I didn't like it anymore. I looked for something else like it and Coors Light was as close as any, so it's now my everyday beer, although I don't drink beer every day.
