Istp -a virtuoso.. Reading the profile rang way to many bells. Explains a few things about how I work though.

Virtuoso (ISTP-A)

Not what I would have guessed, but I fit most of the profile.

Another online Myers-Briggs personality test. I am still an ENFP like the first time I did a Myers-Briggs more than a decade ago. what's changed is am much closer to the center on the last scale.

The way I interpret that is I like to have a plan when I start something but I am open to changing it if someone comes up with a better way to get it done.

If you you really want to read more on this, there is book called "Please Understand Me" that has a lot of interesting information. I know it has helped a few people find work situations that really fit them well.

The plan thing bugs me.

I like to have a plan. But I recognize that no plan survives first contact. So I like to think two or three branched levels of contingencies ahead so that I don't waste time if the first plan falls apart. Is that planning or daydreaming about ways to improvise?

ESTP-A - "The Entrepreneur"

What's interesting is that I take a Myers-Briggs test about once a year, and I've always been an ESTJ. Interesting that improvising has pulled me over to the "P" side. I have to wonder if that's the result of being in positions that were not in my formal background. I've been forced to improvise just about my entire career, and I'm at a point where I'm pretty comfortable winging it and figuring it out as I go.

Definitely worth the 10 minutes to take the test - thanks for sharing!

There are more INTJ's showing up here (including myself) than there statistically should be.

Do we tend to attract the highly-analytical systems-approach contingency-planning kind of people?

ISTP -T. I took the test and it nailed me so much so that I decided to track down a .PDF of "Please Understand Me II" and read it. It's really easy to find on google if you can't find it otherwise.

Some combinations are more prevalent than others. Here are some stats

I would not be surprised given focus of the GRM website and magazine if we have an over representation of certain personality types including INTJ's.

I've done this kind of test a few times before and I get either INTJ or INTP. One test told me that I was bordering between the two.

This one gave me INTJ-A (Architect) and...yeah it sounds about right.

Same here. I don't like to rely on rigid plans, but I don't like to fly by the seat of my pants either. So I like to have a "branched plan" and be ready to improvise if something unplanned happens.

This test gave me 11% judging, which matches the "borderline INTJ/P" result I've had before.

ESTP-A “THE ENTREPRENEUR”

I agree with some of the assessment, but not all of it. It's a little different than the MB tests I took in college and one after. But they were 20 some years ago.

I feel that is somewhat accurate, but has it's pitfalls. I never believe this profiling E36 M3 anyway.
