Dr Boost's recent UPS experience has me wondering what products will you refuse to buy?  I have two.  I will never ever again buy a product made by Nissan.  Wife and I had a bad experience with a 91 Maxima.  The way Nissan handled the situation swore me off of their products forever.  The other is the NFL.  I refuse to watch another football game or buy any product with an NFL logo on the package again until Roger Goodell is gone.  I'll watch a Patriots game on the local broadcast, but if there is something better to do, I won't even watch them.  Caught parts of 3 or 4 games this year and thats it.  Didn't even watch last years Superbowl.  That whole NFL logo one is tough, cause man, I really loved those Tostitos with lime.

Ticketmaster.  You sold out for that concert in 5 minutes.  You insist you have limits on bulk ticket purchases, no exceptions.  I can now buy a "ticket package" at a greatly inflated price from your wholley owned subsidiary.

Right.

A lot of restaurants- I’ll walk out stating I’ll never go back. I’ve not been to Arby’s since the late 80’s.

I have not eaten a lunch or dinner meal there for 38 years for a particular incident.  I will occasionally eat hot cakes and sausage at breakfast with the grands.

A few people have had a similar experience.  My experience with two Maximas has been better, but both were well out of any warranty.

Apple anything. They should have stuck to graphics design centered computers, sticking last years Samsung hardware in a shiny new twice as expensive box doesn't make it new or better, and iTunes is some of the nastiest software I've ever dealt with. Still extremely pissed about iTunes reorganizing my 1tb music collection by whatever random means it decided instead of by artist and album like I had everything, and that was almost 12 years ago now.

I haven't stepped foot in a Wal-Mart in over 10 years. I kind of break this with Sams club, but the clientele isn't nearly as trashy.

McDonald's, dominos, pizza hut, Red lobster, olive garden, Kings, eat n park (ok these 2 are regional ) are all places I refuse to return to because of bad service, incompetent employees, or toxic food.

I also don't buy any American made electronics. It's cheaper to buy 6 from China to make one good working one than one half assed American made piece most of the time.

Wal-Marx.  I worked for Sam's Club. Had relatively good health insurance with them. The Walton family decides to drop part timer's insurance because of the PROJECTED INCREASE DIFFERENCE.  Not the total cost,  but what they think the increase might be. The cherry on top was if the Waltons never made another dime from that day forth, it would take the 4 Walton hell spawn 208 years each to run out of money paying that projected increase.  208. But they can't afford it.

It takes an awful,  awful lot to even consider stepping foot in one of their stores.

Funny, I had similar experience with AT&T.  To the point that the friendly guy I talked to signed us up to a system that totally screwed us.  Then I took the step to bundle to Comcast....

It's as if everyone's regular service company is crap, and the other company is better- I've heard and experience similar rants toward airlines, cruise companies, box stores, local box stores, etc.   Most of us can tolerate one screw over, but when it gets to 2 and 3- veins burst in your forehead.

quick edit- most people think that the ride sharing companies are something special.  Sometimes, perhaps.  But first, they are allowed to charge a huge surcharge when they want, and sometimes they suck- last week, we wanted to take a ride from our hotel to a restaurant near the train station in Chicago.  Got a rough price when I requested a Lyft- not sure of the cost, but it was lower than the estimate from the doorman of our hotel.  The moron stopped at the NEXT hotel down the street and expected me to haul my stuff down there.  I could not figure it out until the last moment, so we walked down there, found him and asked, he said yes, and just drove off.....  WTF???   A taxi driver saw the whole thing and laughed.  He took us to the restaurant for LESS than the Lyft estimate.  Ok...  So we will pick and choose in the future.

I wish I had that choice. Dish has better customer service, but really crappy service in general. I won't buy from walmart because of how they treat their employees and anything nestle because of their CEO's attitude towards water

Sadly, for most people in the country there is only 1 option for internet, and its a company with terrible customer service.

Most other stuff mentioned in this thread is stuff that I am not really interested in anyway.  I feel like when you say I "refuse to buy x!" it implies that you have some desire to buy x, but you are standing you ground by not purchasing x.  I have no desire to watch a football game, ever, so its not like I'm refusing to support the NFL.

Cars with two pedals. Almost every older electronically-controlled automatic I've driven for an extended period of time, domestic or import, has done strange things on occasion. After having one start slipping and the other blow up, I've decided that enough is enough.

In reply to Datsun310Guy :

I hear you, but Arby's actually got back into the rotation.  In fact, I avoid all fast food with the exception of Arby's.  They put some effort into reinventing their chain and have done pretty good IMHO.  Same goes for Deny's and Applebees, at least locally.  Both were in the "never again" category, but both have seen significant improvements.

Texas Roadhouse (locally) is one place I will never go again.  Got sucked into that hell-hole 3 times against my will and it was enough to convince me never to return ever.

The only place that I can think of that I outright ban is Hobby Lobby.  Not that I have much need for their crap, but should I need a babydoll head or fake flowers, I'll head elsewhere thank you. Not giving those people a dime.

My neighbor had a Vega and it was a bit worse than Toothy McBraceface.  Eventually he had to park it in his garage so it would start in the morning. It thanked him by burning his house down.
