What to do with old industrial fuses?

At a recent garage sale, I bought this.

It was full of a bunch of stuff, including these.

So, what do I do with them? Some look like they have decent value on eBay (like 5-35 each on some of the bigger ones). 

Do I take the time to sell individually? I'm worried that it will be a pain in the butt. Should I try to sell as one big lot? Anyone here need something?

Finally, can anyone find a reasonable asking price for the alw-300 ones (top center)? I have nine, and the part number pulls up something that seems to retail for $200+, but the pics don't look the same. If they really are $200 each I made a solid buy!

I would make smaller group (like) as they tend to be easier to sell and put up buy it now option with combined shipping.

My grandma's house still uses those screw in fuses like the yellow ones, bottom center and green ones above them in your photo.

So at least some folks still use them.

The round screw-in fuses are great because you don't have to replace them when they blow.  You just remove the blown fuse and put a penny in the socket, then screw the blown fuse back in.  Voila!

That'll work, until the fire starts. Then, not so well. 

Yes, I got the joke, thought it was funny, shared it with my wife. I remember people doing this.

I think you should blow up at least one of the 300-amp ones, you know, for science. 

The edison base fuses are still in use in older homes and common enough that they are easy to find at any hardware store. The ReStore is where I would drop them off. The big fuses I would take to a used industrial equipment dealer. I have paid a pretty penny for vintage good fuses to get old equipment back into production.  

No one is going to have the forethought to be scouring craigslist for old fuses just in case, but they will make frantic phone calls when their production line is stopped and their employees are just sitting there and orders aren't getting filled.  It is less costly to spend thousands and have an electrician rewire the equipment for a different fuse than it is to order one off the internet and wait for delivery. Hard things to sell because of that.

Personally, I'd eBay them in like lots and let the market determine the price.

Um, nope. Sorry. 

They only have value as paperweights. 

But the shelving unit is terrific!

As a Facilities Director, there is NO WAY I would buy fuses for a critical component from a sketchy individual source, who bought them at a garage sale, doesn't know their purpose or age,  and is selling them on Craigslist or Ebay.  

My down time for any critical piece of equipment can easily exceed $20,000 per hour.  If I have to shut down the facility, it would exceed $2000 PER MINUTE.

I'll buy new fuses.

The Michelin plant down the street produces 30,000 tires per day.

I wonder what their down time costs?

Try it on Craigslist anyway. You might get lucky. A good maintenance outfit will think like SVreX. Not all maintenance outfits are good, or think like he does.
