A guy I work with started a project and is throwing in the towel. The frame is home made (actually made at work) two pieces of 3" channel iron welded together forming a rectangle and then 2" holes were drilled through it and a pipe welded into the hole. Imagine two 12 foot long rectangular bars with holes through them.
And a VW Bug body.
As luck would have it, I'm sitting on a 225 Slant Six with the transmission.
Add some kind or rear end, a Model T front end somewhere four feet out in front of the engine/radiator and I think it's about ready. It's all built in my head.
Available for something like beer money.
Do I steal the Crown from Quasi and have another unfinished project or pass?
Dan
Are you really expected anyone on this forum to tell you not to do it?
Do you want the end result?
I mean, do you really want a custom-not-to-you chassis'd bucket powered by a slant 6?
How long would you keep it once you had it built? What would you do with it? Where would you put it? What would you do with it in the winter?

iron frame? Sounds kinda messy to me.
Don't...never mind.
If the price is right, do it.

LOL, Dan, you really make me laugh sometimes. ask permission for a crazy project when you have a lot of if planned out.
People wonder why my screen has dried water droplets on it. Thanks for making that worse.
Can never have too many projects.
Need concept pictures then I can decide.. Right now I'm leaning towards go!
Would one be able to license such a child scaring monstrosity in the Democratic Peoples Republic of New York, Or would it be doomed to a life of beer induced gravel slinging burnouts to the end of the driveway at family reunions?
yes, you want this...you need this

I'll be here all week, enjoy the buffet.
I was thinking in this direction but with a Bug body and Bug hood instead of USPS.
Planning is a 10 minute gig, 6 with beer.

Only if you do the ridiculous zoomies to go with it.

Trade the Bug body for an old Postal Jeep.
