My dad's Red/White/Blue 70 Mark Donohue Javelin. Too bad he had to sell it
The 98-02 T/A's were the hot ticket when I was in school and I still want one. Make mine a dark blue WS6 with T-Tops.

My brother is an Insurance Adjustor. After Hurrican Somebody slammed into Homestead, Fla. his boss gave him a check and told him to go buy a company car.
He came back with a Grand National! Thank you!!
When I was in HS I always wanted a Porsche 911, Countach, and Trans AM. So far I've managed to get the T/A and 911. I still really want to score a Countach....I don't care how bad Clarkson says they are...

This is what I wanted in HS. There was a dealer right around the corner from me. It was new and it was an AMX.
What I ended up with was a beater 4 door Dodge Polara with a 318.
92 Z28 in that teal color.
What I really had....
Only mine was mostly blue, WITH a grey fender, a black hood.
I really, really wanted a TR7. They came out when I was in about 8th grade... I had that "Wedge" ad on my bedroom wall.
This guy here:
I've gotten to drive most of my other High School spank bank cars at one point or another. Honestly, most of them were a bit of a letdown. I've still never driven an M1, though. Not sure I want to. I don't want the perfection that my mind perceives to be ruined.

Class of '88.
I lusted after a '69 Charger... preferably in black... still do, I suppose... My driver at the time was an '82 Subaru 4WD wagon.
A couple of years after graduating, I went to test-drive one: a General Lee replica with a 383 automatic. As JG mentioned, it was a bit of a let-down... yeah, it was fast as hell in a straight line, but I nearly killed myself at the first corner we came to... I decided the Charger had too much rust in the trunk and thought the $2200 asking price was too much. If only I had known...
The Holy Grail for me was and still is a 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S. I've owned 15 other Minis, some faster, some rarer, but that '67 is the culmination of all things good in Minis for me. Road and Track did a feature on one in '83 and I still have the article I cut out of the mag.
Class of '97, dream car was anything other than Dad's hand me down '81 Datsun 210 station wagon. I was pretty interested in early '60s Thunderbirds at the time, didn't know enough about them to want anything specific. Just liked how they looked.
69 RS/SS Z-28 Camaro Indy Pace Car Edition. Or a 240Z/brand new 260Z.
What I ended up with? 65 Chevelle 4-door with 190-cid Inline-6, Powerglide AT and no power steering/brakes, drums front & rear. Once got beat by a Pinto w/4 people in it. But the back seat sure was roomy.
I spent YEARS looking for one I could afford that was not trash...I still am actually.
Though a GNX would have done nicely as well.
I ended up with a Porsche 944 and a '78 Camaro with a very built 350. I was the fastest in the area and the guy everyone wanted to race on the street. I even had people I didn't know come up to me and say "Hey aren't you..." lol
Oh yeah I was class of '98.
Class of '66. Whatever the current Corvette was. Got a '64 in '67 after a got a free pass for college.
My highschool dream cars were: This (except finished):
One of these:
and: (although this one is a couple years post HS grad)
I guess, sort of like:
Just like this, but maybe without the 3.6RS wing and that goofy bumper finisher on the front.
Class of '01
Class of 2004. Got to ride around Road Atlanta in one on a couple of hot laps. Almost got to take one to my senior prom if is wasn't for my Principle Mr. McDaniel, suspended me the week of, therefor, could not attend...
