Need a suitcase wire welder, gas or fluxcore . Capable of welding up to 3/8" steel or 1/4" aluminum. Recommendations please?

Budget? How frequent will you use it? Will you use it in remote places on 110v and 220v?

I spent a lot more on a Fronius Transsteel 2200 a few years back and am constantly blown away by how good it is. I thought I was a decent welder before, but this machine makes me look brilliant. Steel or aluminum without a spool gun. Pulse/stitch mode. Any voltage. Worth every penny.

I have a 200 amp Hitbox that has been outstanding. 120/240, gas or flux. I've built several cages with it and just finished building an excavator bucket with it. Zero complaints.

This is the updated model. Hitbox 200 amp.

Not unlimited budget but willing to pay for a good quality unit. Occasional use,but it will work hard when it works. Will use remotely,  cuz you never know!

I have a Miller Millermatic 215. Does MIG/TIG and stick and it is the best welding machine I have ever had. It can run 110V or 220V. It is mobile but not very light.

I've been happy with my MIG 180 from Primeweld.  Newer models do even more and their customer service is awesome.
