What were the cool cars the year you were born?

I'm a 1968--My oldest car was a 1970...so pretty close...

Had it in college--sold it in 1988 and about 15 minutes later the market took off...

while I've finally (sorta) figured out how to "hotlink" pics.. I'm still having trouble getting them all on the same post... so this way I guess I'm just running up my post total...

Well, I see 1985 is covered pretty well... though I would like to add this fast-but-ugly creation (kinda like me, minus the fast part )

I haven't owned a car that was built the same year I was born, but my Mazda RX-7 is less than a year younger than me (built in '86 for the '87 model year).

Just keep clicking on the "Insert Image" icon when you post; the pics stack on top of each other.

when i was born, i asked my dad , what was cool cars, he said 1934 Ford 4dr.sedan , like bonnie &clyde used.

and money no object was the Dusenberg SJ roadster, supercharged.

they be cool today.

1957 so I need to find pictures of vintage Chevy's.

Closest I got was a 1961 Triumph Herald. My oldest brother has a 1959 TR3A.

I've had a few. I'm shooting for getting one from the same month and year. (March 1981)

I was born a couple of years later. They were making cars then but I'm not sure the camera had been invented. Hence,no pics. In the year I was born,just beginning to recover from wartime shortages, having any car was pretty cool.

My car is a model year 91, but was made in 1990.
