This weekend I’m attending a Y2K-themed fashion shoot–as a photographer, of course.
So, what to bring? What would you bring?
I found my Gameboy Color but, sadly, it doesn’t power on. The power light flashes red for a fraction of a second and then nothing. But as a prop, it’ll work.
Nokia brick phone should still be working.
Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera cds.
Got a Jansport backpack you can fit the camera gear in?

Almost embarrassed that I just found these in my office.
Livestrong Bracelets and Jelly bracelets. I remember every one in middle school/high school wearing those. Early iPods or Zune or CD walkmans.
Trucker hats. Uber chunky skate shoes.
Got any old CCD sensor digital cameras laying around?
Edit: I am an idiot. I read it as a generally 2000s photoshoot.
non-perishable food items
Not that it helps, but I recently found my moms old Motorola bag / car phone. I think they were on the slow decline by 2000 tho, and would make a lot less sense away from a car tho...

I think we’re doing Waffle House after the shoot.
Clearly, a Kero-Sun kerosene heater. You're gonna need heat after the grid goes down at midnight on New Year's Eve.
An across the shoulders tribal tattoo peaking up over the neck like of my chartreause Neru collar shirt.

Is there a difference between a "Y2K themed party" and a "2000's Themed Party"?
To me there is a big difference.
A stone age wheel and a club.
A slammed Civic with a park bench wing and altezzas? :)
