I'm buying myself a case of beer (haven't decided what yet), and I also just today bought myself a homebrewing book. Nothing car-related

I also got myself a new job.

slightly better pay, M-F 8-5 hours, more responsibility & much less stress.

I tender my resignation at my current employer Monday morning. We'll see if they give me the 2 weeks. but, they are short staffed already & I am going to offer to work some nights and weekends as needed.

Buy a diff housing? That's not grassroots! Couple of pieces of scrap aluminum, a few industrial gears, and 4000 whittling hours, and you're right there!

I bought a skill saw and a scroll saw along with the wood I needed to finish building my new bench.

I bought a gift certificate to the local SkidCar school, they had a sale, three for the price of two and they were on sale too boot. So $900 worth of drifting in a an autocross with an instructor, a camry on a hydraulic rig for $400 (plus dad bought one of the three, so my girlfriend and I get to go to two classes for $200)

So far, nothing... probably new tires for the truck... but that purchase has been planned for months... maybe a new digital camera since it looks like I can get a nice one for about $100...

Maybe a Walther P22 with a surpressor attachment.

Also, I could consider a good 1911 if I can find a good deal.

Perhaps my first set of R-comps instead? I've been auto-xing and HPDEing for 5 years and I've only ever done it on street tires. It's time to move on.

I got a toolbox set from sears a couple saturdays ago on sale. I'm stoked about finally having a proper toolbox. $200 seemed like a pretty good deal to me.

Also, I bought a laptop back at Thanksgiving time...

Those bike trainers - do you like them? I've been considering one so that my bike can get some exercise. What do they cost?

I've actually never used one. I've always wanted to get one and I found one on Craigslist for $60. Originally, I bought a really cheap exercise bike for $25 to get me through the winter for my riding fix but its too loud when I ride it. I know alot of riders use them for training in the winter months so they must be alright. I would keep an eye out on Craigslist and also check ebay and maybe even a cycling forum.

Unlike the Berkeley..there are actually some 'off the shelf' differential carriers for DSRs. Not quite 'insert diff and go' but a lot better than hand whittling.
