Spotted this classic from the coffee shop this morning, didn't get close enough to see any badges. The headlights really threw me, they're not round and the lenses wrap around the leading edge. Never seen one before.
Google is not helping.

Hot Rodded 39 Pontiac Cheiftain. They redid the headlights and removed the waterfall chrome off the front. In the rear they did some wheel skirts.
In reply to bmw88rider:
It does look like a Chieftain, but those headlights are stock on something of that era. I've seen them before.
I've seen them on a few hot rods. Not sure what they are off of. It's actually a 1938 and not 39. The 39 grill was very different.
1938 Studebaker President 4dr. Sedan in Deep Blue. Bingo.
I can rest now, er... get back to work.
Thanks all

A lot of cars had non round headlights for a short period- across a great many makes you could generalize that the transition was from "nacelle", round separately mounted ones in 1936/37 to art deco abstract shapes in 37/38/39 to the mandatory rounded sealed beam in 1940.
Maybe the most extreme example was the 1939 Graham - do a google search on those bad boys. :)
