Kickstart My Heart, Mötley Crüe.

Comic montage (lasts several pages)

My walk up song?   Edvard Grieg - In the Hall of the Mountain King.  Metal version, because of course.  (Why yes, I did spend most of my early high school years wearing out my Live E36 M3: Binge & Purge VHS tapes)

Walk away song?  Probably Overkill's "Years of Decay".  "I'm going home, I don't know where..."

I asked my students this same question.

I gave them this:

Hot for teacher drum solo

Vintage Mopar ads said that the Plymouth GTX idled like the William Tell Overture.

I stood next to one at the dragstrip a few years ago, and all I could think was "I don't feel tardy"

I guess they couldn't foresee Van Halen in 1968.

(of course, I prefer something that is more like power chords than a drum intro, but it's all good)

In reply to G_Body_Man :

I think the 37IP pitched scoreless streak , 2 no-no's and a 2 hitter in that span helped.

Hell no.

Original (with amusing animation)

More better metal-esque version (cellos, awesome)

Lars Fredrikson and the bastards - to have and have not

It took me a long time to come up with this one. I have a lot of "theme songs", but on the rare occasion I do something awesome, this seems the most fitting

I've determined that "Going to Hell" from Pretty Reckless is pretty accurate in it's title. I think I'll go with that.

Always liked walking around to “teacher” from tull on my headphones as well back in high school.

I've been listening to a LOT of Primus (youtube live concert videos) and Buckethead lately.

I was the right age for when they came out but totally missed the Primus boat. Funny that my favorite songs are mostly from the time of my late teens (Sailing The Seas of Cheese) all these years later.

This musical shift seems to coincide with my recent discovery of Canadian legal electric lettuce. wink
