John Prine just passed away. This one hurts.
He lived near me down in Gulfport, Fl. The locals had a tribute to him, people came out in their yards and on porches and were singing and playing his songs. I never thought Covid could take him, that bugger made it through some serious medical issues and would be touring a couple months later.
He left us with some pretty amazing work.

Been a big fan since the late 70's. Got to see him perform twice, once in St. Louis, once in Peoria.

Been a kind-of fan off and on through the years. Saw him here in Richmond when he opened for the Cowboy Junkies back in the 90's. Quite a talent.
