Another Die Hard movie????? C'mon Die Hard with a Vengance was the last one as far as I'm concerned.

How hasn't Bruce Willis realized he's just embarrassing himself now.

He's in another country this time.

I have known about this for months. Kinda interesting to see how they are going to make it work in another country.

He is also "Joe" in the new GI Joe movie that was suppose to come out in June but has been postponed until next year.

Meh. Of course they're not cinematic masterpieces, but they're fun. My Father In Law always loved those movies. We took him to see the last one when it came out, and got drunk in the theatre. He passed away last year, and I'm guessing we'll go see this one a crack a few cold ones in his honor.

So, I guess he'll stop when stupid old farts like me that grew up watching Die Hard movies stop going to them......

I probably won't see it in the theater like I did Live Free or Die Hard. But I'll definitely see it when it comes on OnDemand.

Yeah they aren't artistic masterpieces, but how is a 5th Die Hard movie a good idea?

John McClain does not age. He does not feel pain. And he. hates. terrorists.

Maybe I wouldn't have made my original post, if that's how they marketed it.

Yeah it takes some powerful nostalgia goggles to see the earlier ones as anything more than a half-silly action-fest just like the later ones.

If I could get paid that kind of money for doing something badly, you bet I'd do it!

Bruce Willis (95) in his last film:

Die Hard: Finally Dead.

And thus begins the zombie sequels.

To answer the OP's question:

It will stop when people stop buying movie tickets and DVDs, which is why I'm sure there will be another Batman movie. And another Transformers movie.

How many geezer action stars are there? Bruce, Swartzenegger, Nicholson, Get Off My Lawn, and more. That's OK, they are still (mostly) younger than I am. Don't forget Jack Palance. Gone now, but a badass to the end. Just because there is snow on the roof, don't mean the fire is out!!

I'm 47, nearing 48, and I just never did get the appeal of the Die Hard movies. Somehow it missed me.

Embarrassing himself? Hes making a gazillion dollars to play a character that he is VERY good at playing...I see nothing embarrassing about it. Live Free was a good movie, if you accept it for what it is...a fun reason to blow stuff up and watch a guy kick the crap outta someone after he just got the crap kicked out of him. I hope Bruce Willis keeps it up. Im also looking forward to the sequel to RED.

In reply to 4cylndrfury:

Oh, don't get me wrong, he plays John Mclane very well. His character in RED was very close to that. It's the rest of the movie that surrounds his character that's more of whats embarrassing. Live Free was ok, I liked it, but it Die Hard with a Vengeance was much better.

I myself want to see the sequel to RED as well, I loved RED.

We have a guy that works in our Atlanta office that looks just like Bruce Willis. Seriously, you have to do a double take. I keep waiting for him to take out terrorists when he is on site. Or at least storm 93CivicEX's building and remove the engineering staff!

I'm a little with Duke on this one. Same age, and although I enjoyed the first when new, the others never held much appeal. I'll watch when I can DVR it, but not at the theater.

Figured I'd transcribe a somewhat funny series of texts sparked by this thread:

Me: Omg they are making another wolverine movie, and another die hard

Wife: Lmao they are going to keep making die hard movies until he had to use a walker lol

Me: 2025: Finally died... hard

Wife: Lmao nope he was just put in cryo tank so one day future generations can bring him back lol

Me: 2130: John Mclain-bot in: die harddrive
