Fired up the new lift yesterday to fix a friends car, and today my sons car broke. It looks like the axle nut has slipped, maybe broken? My son is only 6, so his car problems are on the small side.

This is the lift that replaced the crappy one from before. I'll do a full write up soon, comparing the el cheapo lift to the cheapest good lift you can get.

C'mon, replace that light bulb, you have a lift to get you up there! ;)

I still have the owners manual for your sons car I think. Looks better there than gaining dust in my basement.

RE Hasbro: Thanks man. Had I known, I'd have cleaned up the place a little bit.

RE sachilles: That fixture is RIGHT ABOVE the car. I pulled the bulb and I'm going to put a momentary contact switch in it's place that will open the circuit to the outlet powering the lift. That'll prevent me from lifting a car too high.

RE Chandler: Thanks for meeting me to make the deal. Luke still loves it. He's much faster this year than last. Man, he just cruises up and down the street. When he realized I was going to put it on the lift, he got soo excited! I told him I am going to weld the wheel to fix it and I think he thinks that's the coolest thing in the world.

Being a dad is great.

Awesome dad stuff! And I'm curious about portable lifts. The older I get, the more problems with vertigo I seem to be having (while laying on my back and tilting the head back).

I'll do a complete write-up soon. I bought one, that didn't work out so well. I upgraded to a different one. Big difference. I'll try to show the practical differences between the two since my quality issues may have been isolated.
