Christopher Stier
Christopher Stier, 39, of 1131 Villere St. was arrested Friday about 2 p.m. after his car side-swiped another vehicle on Airport Access Road then sped off, said Shaun Watson, a Kenner Police Department spokesman.
Authorities found him in Louis Armstrong International Airport's short-term parking lot, slumped over in the driver's seat with his car parked across two spaces, according to a police report. A daiquiri and an open bottle of cognac were found in the vehicle's center console, the report said.
"His speech, motor skills, balance and coordination were extremely impaired," the report said.
Police said Stier is on parole until June 19, 2012, for a fourth DWI conviction. Information on his prior convictions was not available Wednesday.
Stier admitted consuming an unknown amount of alcoholic beverages and Vicodin tablets, the report said. A breath test revealed a blood-alcohol content of 0.167, double the legal limit of 0.08.
In addition to DWI, Stier was booked with hit-and-run driving, driving with an open container of alcohol and reckless driving.
He was released from jail Saturday on $76,150 bond, but could not be reached by phone Wednesday.

There is part of the problem right there. The guy got bonded out in time to go partying again on Saturday night. With that many previous convictions he should have been held over for trial. The drunk that almost killed me was out of jail on bond before I was out of surgery.
