Where did the safety razor blades go?

A year ago or so I switched all the way back to an old double edge safety razor. The ones that were great for slashing your wrists and peeling off your lip as you learned how to shave.

Life was great. Super cheap blades, and they shaved very well.

And then, last month, poof! They are all gone. The few I could find were incredibly expensive now.

So, is it a vast razor blade conspiracy? I'm suffering along on a cheap bag of disposable razors because I wasn't willing to pay over a buck a blade, when just a few months ago it was less than a dime a blade.

I have a cute amish stype beard (which made for a very confusing conversation at one point in Hershey Medical). I trim the neck and, well, I trim things. I have to, I'm descended from a gorilla.

Anyhow, even Amazon has gone way up I noticed. Course, on the flip side I can get a delightfull variety pack from Amazon to explore with. Then I can become a snob about various blade makers and sneer at people over the blade they use.

Hmmmm this saddens me since i was going to switch to the old style safety razor eventually bc I heard they are much cheaper than the ones the mach3 or shick Quattro ones I use now.

You think those are scarce try finding shave quality SINGL edge blades. Only o Local source is CBS and they're 10 for $5.

I've never been able to find them locally. I order from one of the many shave supply companies that have internet tubes connected to my computer.

Chuck bought thr variety pack, and the Astra is the one he liked best.

I buy my Feathers from Amazon. They're still there. 100 for $25, and according to camelcamelcamel that's a nearly three-year low (source) so I don't know what exactly you're looking at...

That's what I use, and that's the same price I paid in the Spring...
