That jet is either crashed somewhere or in AFPAK getting new livery for nefarious purposes.
It very likely landed somewhere and will be used for nefarious purposes. But I'd think destination AFPAK or Yemen would require a refueling stop somewhere. And that's the big Q. I'm sure the NSA satellites are on that theory.

That was my point, though. They wouldn't have to worry about any radar until they were close, but at that point, staying "low enough" may have been more complicated.
Remember that was a video game I was talking about. I think it is more complicated because of the curvature of the earth. Just trying to connect the mind set of low flying in the brain housing group of a hijacker.

Exactly. But it is fun hearing all the great theories on what could have happened.
I crossed the international dateline at the exact moment it was supposed to jump ahead an hour for daylight savings times and was immediately transported via wormhole to Arizona, where emergency services wouldn't recognize or service it because there were two dudes holding hands on board.

Unfortunately, I think the odds that you are right are about 99.999%. The question is (still) why? I still suspect that the odds of it being hijacked and shot down by someone (US, Chinese, whoever) is about 50%. Remember that on 911, there was a fighter right behind that plane that crashed in PA, and it was ready to launch. Since then, I bet that any commercial plane in the world that turns off its transponder and changes course will have an air to air missile or a SAM up its turbine exhaust in a short time. Oh, and whoever launches the missile won't exactly be broadcasting all the details of that. I dunno where that plane went. Did you check the Indian Ocean?

Wow. That is a reference to an old 1980s movie that I shouln't have seen (but did anyway) isn't it?

Good thing you are a Doc, and not a mathematician (99.999% + 50% = how much??)

His math is valid 99.999% chance its at the bottom of the ocean with a 50% chance its there because it was shot down. :)

The only fighter tasked to Flight 93 was unarmed......their intent was to ram the damned thing if necessary.
AP is reporting Malaysian authorities have called it a hijacking.

That's right, yamaha. I recall that now. I think there were 2 of them and one agreed to go Kamikaze or something like that. Today they are armed.
I thought some of you guys were paranoid, but I'm starting to come over to the nefarious view of things. That plane could very well show up unexpectedly...

Yeah, the tinfoil hats are starting to make sense. It was fun as a theoretical exercise but not so much with some facts starting to build behind it.

My botched Russian 9/11 conspiracy is starting to gain traction with some of the people that make the mistake of talking to me. I forgot how much fun this is.

I thought the plane that went down was a b777-200er and not a -300
I am amazed. You would think a roughly 500,000 lb aircraft worth around $300 million would come equipped with OnStar or LoJack of some kind. After Sept 11th seems like someone, somewhere would be keeping better track of large flying chunks of aluminum filled with tons of fuel. Also seems strange that out of 200+ people, noone got some kind of distress signal/message out.
