I don't get it? He obviously couldn't have been brandishing it or threatening anyone with it, he's on his own damn property, even if he had a real pistol in his waist band WTF difference does it make? Why the heck does an "assault team" show up at his door?

By his appearance I'm surprised he passed or he is much better at hiding E36 M3 than the cops are at finding it.
Now for my conspiracy theory, he knew the cops had a woody for him, so he cleans up his act and has an anonymous tip called in. The cops embarrass themselves, getting national news coverage. Now the guy is good for 6 mos to a year before the cops will raid him again!

They did know that. If they didn't know that, this incident would have ended like lots of others and that guy would be dead now and some police spokesman would be saying that the officers acted in accordance with the way they have been trained.

If you threaten someone with a gun, expect the cops. Your property or not. Especially if it is a worker type scenario and not on some farm in the country.
