The bottle opener is way across the room and since you can never be too safe I have a .22 rifle, a .40 S&W, 2 Walther PPKs (because one is sure to jamb) and a 12ga loaded with #4 buckshot within easy reach from the couch during movie night.
I'm a pretty good shot for the first 6 beers or so... which would you use to open a 60 minute IPA? Which one can a 10 yr old use once I start to get gassed?
Homer Simpson used the semi. Prolly the 40 S&W.

It doesn't have to be in my hand but the further away it gets the worse the buckshot issue is going to be.

The weapon features a bottle opener in the front handguard and wire cutter built into the bipod. The bottle opener feature was included to prevent damage to magazines being used to open bottles, due to the large civilian reservist components of the IDF. Use of magazines to open bottles was a common source of magazine lip damage with Uzi submachine guns.
I think the Walther might work the same way as the Makarov if you want to try it and let us know how it goes. Just remember the four rules when opening your beer with a gun and point it down range.

The Galil comes with a bottle opener built in:
They put it there because the troopies were opening their beer bottles (Macabe is some good sudz...) with the rifles anyway and damaging them.
