I have nothing against people modifying their cars in any way they like. Now that I've said that, I'm still allowed to have my own opinions of the cars and the mods. So, which is worse:
The horrible, tacky, redundant decal...
or the Fisher Price caliper cover?

Caliper cover
Agreed. For all I know, 'shaker' could be the owners last name. It's a stretch, but at least plausible.
There's little excuse for the caliper cover.
Meh.
It's not my car so I truly don't care.
That said, I probably wouldn't buy from someone who thought plastic caliper covers were cool.

Shaker refers to the hood with the hole in it. Because you'll miss that part if it isn't pointed out. Twice.
Some of them also had a Shaker audio system. 500 W or something like that
Caliper covers definitely worse

Oh I know, I'm just trying to find some sort of reasoning why someone would do it beyond the typical excuses. People have weird ideas for their cars.

Caliper cover is worse, without question.
Now, if it said COSTAS WAGON or something equally tasteless, that might trump the tacky plastic trim.

Shaker was a trim level (one of very many) on the Challengers in later years that came with the Shaker hood and a bunch of other stuff, including striping, so it might very well be factory. The caliper cover is much worse.
Where do you even find caliper covers that bad? $14 gets ones that are trying to look like Brembo calipers.
Edit: my bad, that looks like part of a $250 MGP kit. I just thought I was looking at a front wheel and that is a cover for a rear caliper...

TIL
That may actually make it worse. Shame on the design/marketing people.

Perhaps this person is just really proud of their involvement with The United Society of Believers in Christ's Second Appearing AKA The Shakers, best known for their furniture making in the 18th century?
Edit: I suppose they would be nicely handcrafted wooden caliper covers if that was the case
You might've missed the eyelashes and red lips the car has.
