because I have to get up out of my recliner ... go to the next room ... power up the computer ... ( thank goodness it's a Mac so at least that doesn't take 4 - 5 min) then go to google ... weather.com ....
the easy way ... glance at the clock and see that it's just about time for the local on the 8's ... punch up channel 40 ... watch the local... if interested I'll then watch the overview for a bit ... then back to whatever wasn't holding my attention before the channel switch
if I'm looking for forecast for a different place then OF COURSE I'll use the computer .. just easier to get the local off the tv

I actually watch the morning forecast, but mainly because the local NBC meterologist is a good friend.
