I didn't think to take a picture, but while exploring today we came across what appeared to be an abandoned 1st gen supra (not 100% on it) painted yellowish, no back glass, spare transmission in the rear hatch, caged, race seat, fire setup, hella lights, covered in a ratty tarp behind a building in the business park surrounding NASCAR Tech.
Again, I'm not 100% it was a supra, but thats my best guess right now.
Really curious about the car, it looked to have a drivetrain installed still, roof scoop, ducting work, the whole nine yards.
Anyone know anything about it?
Chumpcar world series and grm stickers lead me to believe it's one/some of you guys.
a few NASCAR teams have been known to show up at local Chumpcar races with "house cars" built by the teams in the off hours. the most famous was the one race when Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman raced in the same race at VIR on different teams fielded by SHR. they didn't win- in fact, i think they failed in glorious fashion.... maybe one of the Toyota teams? which NASCAR teams are close to that area?

kasey kahne, dale jr, trd, there are two roush yates buildings in a neighboring industrial park, etc etc. So yeah, pretty much all of them.
I don't think this was one of the team shops though, I didn't think to pay attention to what the building was though sadly.
It looked like the stoopid supra, only in yellow. lol
I know for sure it wasn't the trd shop because that is essentially across the street from the school (I went there) and this was a few streets up.
Googling chumpcar supra mooresville nc didn't yield any results other than the stoopid supra=/
I'll pay more attention and take pictures next time
