As the thread title implies, I need establish a new email account for those one time registration of things you never intend to circle back to.  Would like to keep that "trash" and spam out of my usual account.

What service provider has an easy to create address that doesn't require a phone number or a tie back to your existing email account?  (that's not google too)

For the one timers or E36 M3 I don't need them knowing my email, I just use a random generated iCloud account name.

I have used guerrilla mail a few times.  Seems to work fine.  You have zero connection to the email or the sight, so about as safe as you can get.

Obviously, if you ever need to change the password or something you will need to re-register.

Also, creating another "Junk" email account is a good idea (you can easily do that with Gmail), for sites you still want to be able to reset a PW etc, but will likely generate junk mail (which of course, there are a lot).

I have a junk Gmail account I use for signing up for crap I never want to hear from again. Every 4-6 months I stop in there and select all, delete.

Proton also removes tracking pixels, which are invisible, 1-pixel graphics files that load from the sender's server when you open the email, confirming you did so and getting your IP address. Graphics don't load, by default, for the same reason. If you don't care about that, just load them.

I bought a domain (two, actually) and have my own email hosted through HostGator.  I can create as many different forwarders as I like so that I can easily sort incoming mail or just turn off the address entirely.  It does make for some confusing conversations if I have to give my email over the phone.  "Yes, I know your company name is Acme.  But the email address you will use for me is actually acme@putrescence.org"

I have the same setup as wae - I've got about a half dozen domains. Having your main email address on your own domain also prevents things like having your 25 year old address turned off by someone else - like what happened to me a few years ago.

I did the gmail thing.  Free, ignorable, already integrated into my existing infrastructure, and 15gb of free spare cloud space.

If you put a + in your gmail address, it counts as the same email address in gmail.  So first.last+ignore@gmail.com goes to first.last@gmail.com.  You can add a rule to put those emails in a special folder that bypasses your inbox.  That way, you can ignore spam and still find password reset emails.  I think this works on other email platforms but I have been using gmail so long that I am not sure.

Duck.com email (the same people behind the duckduckgo search engine) offers unlimited randomly-generated email addresses that forward wherever you want, and can be easily deactivated.
