I'm working, although from home, which I do two days a week anyway. We're shipping an issue of GRM to the printer on Tuesday, and an outside publication that we do contract production on goes to press soon as well, so things are hopping at the office wing of chez Pasterjak.

I did take time out to take the wife out for some awesome Thai for lunch. Drunken noodles, extra spicy. It was fantastic, but I live in fear for the future of my b-hole when it comes time to pay up. It was totally worth whatever screaming and lip biting will ensue.

I worked about 6hrs today. I didn't "have" to, but I've got a bunch of stuff that has to get done between now and the end of the year. Because December has a lot of interruptions anyhow, and I like to do my Christmas shopping during "normal" business hours to avoid the crowds, I decided today was as good a day as any.

I don't have to work today. I also don't get paid since this is one of our furlough days. I would rather work and get paid....

I worked yesterday and today. In fact, I've worked every holiday where there was a market closure. I took Christmas Day and my birthday off, at least.

Geez, I'm a workaholic. All work and no play makes Rexy a bored boy.

9hrs of commercial car parts selling for me. Oh well its over and tommorrow we'll be on a 300-350mile miata trip.Woohooo

It was kind of a slow Thanksgiving for us this year.

Just one oven fire, right at 8 am. We typically go to a bunch of these, as it seems to be the only day of the year that some people use their oven and, more than likely, they haven't cleaned it since last Thanksgiving.

We also go to a bunch of smoke investigations, now that turkey fryers are so popular. They tend to smoke up entire neighborhoods, so people call and report that their neighbors house is on fire. Some people, afraid of the hot oil, tend to toss the turkey in,splashing the oil into the flame. That can get exciting.

We also respond to a disproportionately high number of heart attacks on holiday afternoons. Just something to think about.
