So who is relatively happy with there car situation? I have a very nice 1990 miata, a very fun 1992 miata, a nice 1999 wangler, and, on some levels, my favorite, a 1994 rust free escort wagon. It's fun when all of your cars get waves from people with similar cars on the road (includng the wagon! There is a girl with an identical one who waves when she sees me). Not gloating, just feeling very blesses to have 4 cars that are fun to own.

Now, I just have to unload the 1990 miata parts car, and two other dead escorts...

I've got two '90 Miata's, one's a Spec Miata, and a '96 Chevy C1500 Ext. Cab. All with at least 190k on them. The truck has over 225k on it. They're all paid for, which gives me great joy.

I am very happy with my Speed3 and the wifes Saab 9-5, i would like more of a project (one that is paid off) and a truck to tow said project around with, but there is alot of other things in the way 1st.

I've got my 5.0, my Bronco, and now the Mazda5 for the wife. If I just had a commuter that got better than 13mpg (I'm thinking Miata, E30, or maybe [gasp!] something FWD), I think I'd be there.

Probably not for very long, though. I get car-bored with the quickness.

Happy here.

1995 Legacy. Was cheap to buy five years and 45k ago. Car owes us nothing. Was originally my second car, now that I'm married it is my wife's car. Not fancy and that's what I love about it.

2005 Legacy GT. Fun. Practical. Presentable. Good value.

There will always be other cars that would be fun to own. But I can't really justify anything else at this point.

Note: I don't fit in Miata's well so it's not hard for me to ignore good deals on them.

Not me. I should be. But then I drove a Miata, and found out that I actually fit. Part of it is that I want to actually buy my own car, and not drive one of dads. Its annoying not knowing which car I'll have for the next two months until the day before I leave for school.

Had 240SX, fun, but inefficient and didn't fit my life. Bought for $1500, sold for $1200.

Bought Escort Wagon. Not so fun, but fits most of life's fun things including camping, bicycling, road trips, and day to day commutes. $950.

Happy...for now.

Mostly happy...

B16 + LSD trans swapped EG Civic is retardedly fun to drive, but I just never connected with it. Sure its unstoppable in winter, VTAK y0 is fun, but its still a Civic.

Red CRX - I love this car, plenty of good memories. Sure its in pieces but it'll live again. I could never sell this car, this was our 2006 challenge car and has since been a work in progress.

Yellow CRX - parked for now and probably going to become the 2010 challenge car. The red CRX is too temperamental for a fun daily, so the yellow CRX serves as a daily beater.

Straman CRX - coowned with my brother. Its mainly a garage queen and honestly neither of us will ever sell it. My sister in law and 3 year old nephew love the car and its their summer go to the library or park car. We'll probably take it up to a few car shows this year.

I'm so-so with my '98 neon R/T. Pluses include fun, paid in full, and it's "MY" first car. Down side is that it is not that great a DD, cramped, no "amenaties", burns oil at 1QT/700Miles, and I have a weather strip leak that keeps me from keeping my bowling gear in my car.

Right now I'm looking at both an Accord and a Forester for a new(to me) DD

I have no right to compain....but I could always add a few more to my fleet and be happier. Race subaru is getting prepped for a cage. Other two subies are running just fine. I would like to change my tow rig though. My 95 ram makes a good plow, and it tows well enough, but it is a regular cab. That doesn't really work with my family situation. If it were an extracab/double cab(and had A/C) it would be perfect. My mini vtec project has been back burnered for now, and I'm thinking about selling my honda bits, and that makes me very sad. I think when I put it back on the front burner I'm going with a kseries variant. So the b16, and transmissions are just taking up space right now.

I am pretty satisfied with the cars that I have ('05 GTO, '96 Roadmaster, '91 Miata, '86 745 turbo, '94 854 turbo, '77 Newport) but the thing is that I love the thrill of the hunt. Having cars that I like is great but I think it's time to start looking to trade a couple away for some new ones.

I was up until a few months ago.

My 99 Civic Si is a summer-driven garage queen, so that doesn't count.

My EG Civic beater is on its last legs, replacing it w/ and EK Civic ASAP

My wife's 99 CR-V has developed a nagging EVAP issue that, at 205k, has us looking for something new for her (leaning hard toward a Fit).

"their" not "there" BTW

I'm happy for now, but its always like that when you have a new car to play with. My camaro is serving as a daily driver, and fills the want for vee-eight power and rear wheel drive hoonage.

The wrecked comp orange focus is about a few months away from becoming a reconstructed focus for my mother or sister to drive. Retaught sister how to drive the six speed and she was all excited to have a car that can accelerate for once.

My fairlane is running and driving but I still need to get an exhaust on it past the headers and a new windshield. But hopefully I'll have my classic car running, driving, and legal this summer for cruising.

Yes and no. I love my E30's, but I'm at a point I simply can't work on all the cars I have: 3 E30's (2 DD's and a project), 1 520i (euro), 1 C4 Corvette (whee!), and I expect to get my protege back from my BIL this spring.

Future plans? I think we'll sell the 2 DD E30's, my wife gets the Protege, and I'll DD the 520i. For a while. I've contemplated life with 2 appliances (Protege + Civic or + TDI Jetta wagon) just to simplify things: keep the C4 and project E30.

The C4 should be on the road in a month or so, and I can't wait!

I am pretty happy with the 01 P71, it dose have plugs in the roof and rear deck lid. But that just means it has "history" some day I might delete its history, but I am not losing eny sleep of it. Now the 1970 ACVW, once the motor gets rebuilt (so it can run) then I will be happy with it.

I should be happy but I'm not. I have a jeep for crashing into things and digging up mud, I have a c4 with no mufflers for pretending to go fast while making the hondas look good and I have a 5 speed turbo caravan for hooning and potential tow/camp rig if I ever devote the time to get it running right.

I WANT a OHC high rpm screamer v-8, not a ford, a ferrari type, for the sound-track. I suppose a jag or bmw v-12 could substitute but it would need straight exhaust. And I want a real fuel efficient bare bones daily grinder, miss the echo we had, would settle for a 3 cyl geo metro, subaru justy, tercel or the like. I will also need to somehow figure out how to run 180 degree headers on my 'vette, for the sound. I never could get the looks of a triumph gt6 out of my head, although that may be bad for me....

Then I think I would be happy. But there will always be something nicer, something I forgot about.....
