Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin' About Him?)

I just watched the movie Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin' About Him?).

I was amazed at how much of his music I had grown up with, without even realizing who he was. I became aware a few years ago, but just got around to watching the movie on Hulu. What an incredibly talented guy.

Nilsson Schmilsson

Pretty cool story. I did recognize a lot of the music. Genius and madness seem to dance on the same knife edge in a lot of people.

You got "The Point"!

I don't even love a lot of his songs, but when I actually saw him singing, his vocal quality just came through and I really started to appreciate how good he was. His lyrical turns and melodies were fantastic too.

Didn't you also start a thread recently about helicopters chasing you? Was this perhaps inspired by Mr. Nilsson?

No, but every time hear Jump Into the Fire on the radio (or in my head), I do start looking out the car window for them.
