I have my ticket, printed it out.
What's the plan to meet? Dinner at Buddys Dearborn before?
A very small side bar to this. "Cars That Rock" just did an episode on McLaren. I found it to be a good watch and left me wanting more. I hope this comes someplace neer me.
If anyone knows the people that are putting that event together ther should put the location of the event on the web page. Nowhere on there page could I find where it was. Not even the state or that it is in the USA.

That is some very interesting feedback- and I will forward it.
The Henry Ford is a museum located in Dearborn, MI, and the movie is being shown on the big I-Max screen they have as part of the main museum.
The rest of the films are in Ann Arbor (Michigan Theater), Detroit (DIA, CCS, Cinema Detroit...), Dearborn, and Bloomfield- here's the venue page with addresses- http://www.cinetopiafestival.org/venues/
So what you found was that going to the movie pages links you to different venue information, which isn't clear. I passed that information on, as well. As a huge fan of this film festival- I very much appreciate the information you find!

This is worrying. I better call the credit card and see if it went through and buy them again if needed.

BTW, it's odd that the Michigan Theater isn't answering the phone- but they are who is organizing the film festival. So it should be a good number to call. I've asked a few people about your tickets.
I've checked my account on line. It shows I've purchased tickets so that's good. I'll call later and find out how the hell to print them as I still have nothing in email!!!!

Check your messages, Adrian.
Do we know of any screenings outside of the Detroit area? I can't find the movie's official web site

I could do that.

One of the organizers of the festival told me that it did get picked up for distribution.
I'll find out more tonight.
Well, that was certainly worth sponsoring. What a great movie.
It should get distributed in the US, but given some of the other festival films we have seen- it could be a while.
One the Pirelli World Challenge K-Pax McLarens was there, too- on it's long journey from Lime Rock back to Sonoma. Great to have it there- and the team members that attended were really great- now we are going to pay more attention to that series.
But the movie. Wow. No question everyone on this board will really love it.

No doubt. It was extremely well-done, I urge anyone with an interest in cars and racing to seek it out, though it sounds like that might not be easy for a little while.
Popping this up- as there's a possibility of another showing of this movie as part of the film festival. If it comes up, I'll post something.
Thanks for organizing Eric, it was awesome, probably the best racing documentary I've seen, even better than Senna and certainly better than 'the Killing years'. I'm going to see what else i can find by this production team.
So the film festival is over, and while McLaren did not win, we were told that it was among the top of all 68 movies for audience awards. Just that there was one better documentary against it.
Thanks for all who attended, and when the Michigan Theater shows it again (and I'm pretty sure it will), I'll send a new note out.
You'll need to log in to post.
