You made it to the Stanley Cup. What are you so worried about?
There are ridiculous restrictions as to were and what Hawks fans can do. Chicago fans can only sit in certain areas. If they are in the "Home" section, they must wear Lightning apparel or be asked to leave. Any tickets purchased with a credit card not attached to a Florida address will be cancelled and issued a refund without notice.
I'm not mad. I'm not saying that this is somehow censorship, blah, blah ,blah. It just seems silly.
Don't worry, we'll still be louder than you.

Seriously? That's bullE36 M3.
Anyway, unless Johnson gets hot AND Bishop stays on point, I don't see them giving the Blackhawks too much trouble.
Actually, it should say "Not be allowed to wear Blackhawks apparel." Still silly.
This is all you need to know about Bolts fans, and management in general. They made the Bruins take this down from in front of their OWN arena during the ECF in 2011 if I remember right.

My understanding is that unlike Nashville, where you had to jump through hoops just to get tickets if you lived outside of TN (and they wouldn't let you in if you lived outside TN), this is at least just limited to the initial ticket sales off of Ticketmaster and NHL Exchange (which I think are one and the same).
Since those tickets sell out immediately anyways and if you want to go you buy off of Stubhub, TickPick, Tiqiq, VividSeats, or KillerSeats, etc., you can still get there without too much effort.
At least I hope so. Because if my ticket order gets cancelled off of Killerseats, I am going to be ready to kick some ass so hard they're going to need to clear their throat to fart.

But on an unrelated note, I was in Boston, in the arena(but not at the game) the night of game 6 in '13 to catch a the train out of town before things got interesting.

12 people were killed and at least 43 were wounded in Chicago during Memorial Day weekend. That type of gun violence makes it hard for me to root for any Chicago teams. They should, in my opinion, spend their money on saving lives instead of sporting events. I know black lives only matter to some when the killers are white, but that place is an out of control E36 M3 hole. On top of that I'm not much of a hockey fan. Bread and Circuses. Bread and Circuses.

Uhh... Yeah, because the funds for the Blackhawks are coming from the City of Chicago and not the fans who are spending their money that remains after taxes. And the Blackhawks have the ability to make policy changes in one of the more corrupt city governments in the country, and to erradicate gangs. Got it.
EDIT: I suppose that Boeing should stop making airplanes, Abbott and Baxter should stop making medical supplies, and Allstate stop providing insurance until the gun violence is under control, because they're all in Chicago[land].
Seriously, Chicago isn't that bad. To say "Out of control E36 M3hole" just shows your ignorance on the subject.
The reason for the ticket hoarding is nobody who watches hockey in Florida is actually from Florida. So you wind up having more away jerseys at the game than homers, what with all the shameless wagon jumpers down here. Guaranteed they dont have this problem in, I dont know, Philly?

The owners of the Blackhawks and the Bulls have 'saved' about $30 million in property taxes on the United Center over the last decade. This is essentially the public tax paying citizens subsidizing the team owners to the tune of $30 million. That money could be collected and spent to try to tackle the issues or it could go the pockets of a couple rich guys. You may think 12 dead folks and at least 43 wounded by gunshots in a single weekend is not so bad, and I guess its not, if you are used to living in Mogadishu or somewhere like that. To me, that is enough to call the place an out of control E36 M3hole. Not sure what your acceptable number of shootings per weekend is, but to call it not that bad is just plain silly. I guess what you are saying is that it's not bad as long as your not one of dead or injured, then it sorta sucks.
Yes, I know the violence is not all over and the places where you or I might go are safe and fairly clean. I was in Chicago last year and understand that the entire place is not a hell hole. I'm going to exit this thread so it can be about hockey. The only point I was really trying to make is that the Blackhawks being in the Stanley Cup finals will get infinitely more press than all the murders/attempted murders that take place in Chicago all the time. Why does the press only focus on certain deaths?
Well, I guess I won't go then. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)

Good idea, you probably should exit the thread. Because you clearly do not understand business, taxes, the problems that Chicago has, the Blackhawks, or gun violence in Chicago. To blame any of it on the Blackhawks is foolish and ignorant.
And no one was making light of the deaths.

I didn't blame anything on a Hockey team, but I agree that would be both foolish and ignorant. The rest of your reply made me LOL.

I guess I just don't understand why you'd come into a thread like this with such a downer. Do you do it with Mardis Gras Threads (New Orleans, St. Louis)? Or threads about Richmond, VA? All cities that are worse on a per-capita basis.
As far as murder rates go, Chicago isn't even in top 20-30, depending on what lists you look at. And only 3 towns in Chicagoland make that list; two of which are in Indiana.
In reply to T.J.:
Yeah you best leave the thread. You're the one who came in here and made it not about hockey.
I have yet to see any sports team highhandedly stop gang violence, gun violence, etc in the city that they are from.
Go Bolts! Chicago fans gtfo of Amalie arena. Go watch at your home games! Ha!!

I have never watched game 6 ever. I had a hockey game that night, and saw maybe 2-3 minutes of the first period. We were taking a face off later in the game, and the ref said the B's were up by a goal with 10 minutes or so left. Went out for another shift, and he said they were now losing with only a minute or so left. I was dumbfounded at the turn of events. I went home, and deleted the game from my DVR, and have never seen the images of the Hawks with the cup at the garden on purpose. I imagine that feeling is the same as what Canuck fans have, and I don't want to see it.
With that all said Go Hawks!!! I'll take Toews on my team any day. Poor mans Patrice Bergeron. See what I did there?
Boston's initial ad was a friendly jab. Tampa's response to call the office was a friendly prank retaliation. Boston stopped there, imo, they should have come up with another one. Why you so hurt by the situation?
Edit: just read the article. The Boston office reported "death threats". Lol. The radio program did not endorse death threats, but pushed for enough calls to annoy them into taking the signs down. I'm sure there were a few crazies who may have called with death threats, but Tampa proved the point that the fans exist. We won that battle! Unfortunately we did not win that series :(
Boston's jab at the Flyers was way worse, but the Philly fans took it well. The Tampa fan went way out of control. I hate the Bolts so much (Aside from Stamkos) that I was actually rooting for the Rags last series, and in this series. Wrap your head around a Boston fan rooting openly for a New York team, and now a Chicago team.
I don't like your opinion. My opinion is much better. Go Bolts!
Jeez....I wonder if they will have to put restrictions on Tampa fans when then play in Chicago?
Somehow I think Blackhawks fans will find a way to be represented in Tampa......even if they have to wear a Hawks shirt under a Tampa shirt and then take it off during the game. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/cool-18.png)

Or we'll just wear the jersey's into the stadium. It is only 1520 seats that you can't wear the Hawk's colors in:

On a related note, what should we do in Tampa? Hotel is not booked yet, so I'm not sure where we will be staying (it could be up to 40 minutes away) but we will be there from Friday night through Monday morning. Age ranges of 22 to 29, all male, all stupid. (I feel like that last part was redundant when you look at the first two parts)
^^^ Ybor City is where the crazies go. This place is quite famous for ........ahem..... it's entertainment....
