I called the local Hobby Lobby the next town over for SWMBO to check on soap availability around 12:15. They have what I need. I go get it, etc...etc.
I get a call from the same number I dialed earlier at 6:16p.m. No voicemail message. I missed it. Didn't even hear it, as I was beating my brains in chasing a dead GFI outlet.
10:38 p.m. I'm coming out of the happiest place on Earth (Walmart , yuck) and get a call from that number again. I fumble with the phone and miss the call. No voicemail nessage. Called back immediately, and...nothing. The store closed at 8:00.
I'm not worried, just seems like a weird thing happening. What do you think is going on?
There's a glitch in the matrix.

Must be why everything tastes like chicken.
Nearly all businesses are on VOIP these days, meaning that the whole thing is a computer instead of pushing a button to generate an analog tone. Stuff happens, zeros turn into ones, sunspot activity, moon phase, new software upgrade, whatever. Think of it like when a program crashes on your computer and weird stuff happens. I've had people call me at the theater and say "I got a call from this number" when I wasn't even in the office.

Or is it chicken? Maybe we've just been told that taste is chicken.
