Oh GRM forum with great depth of knowledge about seemingly everything, I'd like to have wifi access in my detached garage. My plan is to bury an ethernet cable, run it out there (75 feet maybe?) and plug it into another wireless router running in bridge mode.

My question is, will my cell phone be able to seamlessly transition between the two wifi antennas, or will I have to switch it every time I walk from the house to the garage and back?

I have such poor cell reception in my area (location, geography, and distance to nearest tower shouldn't be a factor, but apparently it is) that I can't send or receive calls with any consistency and texts regularly are delayed or not received when outside. Walk into the house where the wifi is, voicemails and texts show right up. So wifi calling has been our go to here in the house and it's been great.

If anyone knows, I figured it'd be here.

I am a huge proponent of wireless bridges. I use one for 300ft, so for 75 feet there is no way I'd be digging a cable.

A wireless bridge plus a mesh router on both ends would be the bee's knees. I use TPlink Deco and I absolutely love it. another thread on here asking about mesh routers had lots of Deco fans as well. The advantage with the mesh is you wouldnt need to worry about switching networks, since it would be the same.
