So after picking up a used Macbook for my wife, she has been running into issues with the wifi dropping out constantly.  Looking up a solution it recommends to change the channel on the router to eliminate channel crowding which could be the cause.  Our Deco M9 units don't give that option.  Why would they not put something as simple as that in a newer set-up?

Use the Network Optimization option, it scans for open channels and selects them automatically.

I don't have that icon on my app.  I have every one but that one

Try checking if your app is up to date and that the TP-Link is running the latest firmware?

Just checked the app store and it's not showing an update and through the app it's up to date.

Got them from Costco, may take them back and get the Google or Orbi instead.  Odd that the issue is mainly with the MacBook though

I cringe a little inside everytime I see a tp-link product.
