If this was on the way to work I bet it woke him up that day.

Been there, done that. Well as least my friend was.
Happened alot back in the late 80's & early 90's with early strut cars from the 70's. Rust never spleeps!
Wonder if the final amount will cover some undies and pants? 'Cuz I'm going to venture that the ones the driver was wearing that AM are no longer wearable.

Amazingly enough, it didn't.
Looks to me the high bid has already exceeded the value of the remains.
I saw that with a Mk2 Jetta .. not to that extent.. but to where I could poke a finger THROUGH the strut tower's rust from the engine compartment into the wheel well.
I knew what the car was from just the first picture, I had one a few years ago. That is one of their biggest problem areas.
Mine wasn't that rusty, but it wasn't beautiful either. I actually saw three nicer ones in a local junkyard while I owned mine. Haven't seen any since.
I remember when SAAB 93's had that problem. Factory came out with a kit to fix it. No welding involved.

I seen Rabbits do that.
I just bought another B13 Sentra from salvage, that is fine except for a small dent in the passengers door. If that ain't a powertrain donor, I don't know what is. I wonder if my truck driving buddy is headed through to the Cat plant anytime soon?
You wouldn't.
This happens to Escorts as well. Fixing it is never pretty. Once they blow completely like that you're pretty well boned.
caravans love to do that up front. they rot bad up here.
roll cage with built in upper strut mounts will fix it right up.
Saw it and was like... NX2000!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's pretty obvious now, so I dont get any brownie points.
also the nx2000 has all the factory go fast parts for a 1.6L to 2.0L swap for a little four door sentra
bigger front brakes
rear disks
larger radiator
larger master cylinder
bigger motor and everything to go with it
wider lighter wheels
lower nx2000 seat rails
larger stock exhaust
and probably other things that im forgetting
So $600 for all that isn't really a bad deal considering you get to crush it after
