I'm drinking this right now. Decent, missing that little something to make it an awesome beer. But at 8% I'm feeling it, so it gets a pass.

Well, the Holiday Ale I created (8.7% Belgian strong dark, deep red, spicy character without actual spices) sold out insanely quickly. I had been enjoying that. With it gone, I've mostly switched over to our nitro "porter". We decided to try nitrogenating our hybrid porter/schwarzbier. It is the shiznit, and I can drink it constantly. Great balance of full body and clean finish. Also have a great Belgian Imperial Stout that is our belgified omage to Old Rasputin and so is sort of like a string quartet covering Metallica.

Of beers I didn't brew: Celebration, Brown Shugga, and good Belgian dubbels.

I miss that beer so much. Very sad that we don't have Firestone Walker out here in Ohio.

A Christmas dinner my brother had a bottle of Vikings Blood. At 18% it warms you up pretty quick haha.

My usual winter go to beer is the Velvet Merlin. Can't go wrong with any quality oatmeal stout though.

This stuff is also good (especially for the price) if you've got a Trader Joes nearby.

I was so happy when we finally got Founders here. I've been responsible for a few other brews coming here after talking to bar managers and distributors.

I just do my work for the people.

Lagunitias Brown Shugga, pretty sweet. My roommate bought those. PBR is right in my price range, but you are welcome to buy me better beer

You can do better than PBR for the money. I know the bottom shelf pretty well. Try Hamm's if you can get it, or whatever comparable regional cheap lagers are available to you in 30 rack form.

Narragansett ('Gansett) Coffee Milk Stout. Available in Southeastern New England.

There's no milk in it of course, but coffee milk is the official RI State drink so it makes for a good name. Narragansett Brewing Company is HQ'd in RI, and Autocrat Coffee Company is also located in RI. So they collaborated on this fantastic seasonal coffee stout. Well, not really, just the name and label design. Brewmaster Sean Larkin doesn't need to collaborate with anybody! It's available in 16 oz. "tall boy" cans and on draft. Last year the entire production sold out in a few days. This year they brewed more. (Narragansett uses out of state contract brewers for now).

However, since I was just diagnosed with pneumonia today and will be starting a heavy dose of antibiotics for the next five days my 'Gansett Stout will remain in the fridge.
