My favorite has a metal dashboard, a pushbutton cable-operated shifter, and an AM radio with Civil Defense frequency markers.  It came with single-circuit drum brakes and without seatbelts.

Came with a tape player.

It's so old it doesn't have a trunk lid and the doors don't lock.

Note, way too nice to be my actual car.

My favorite vehicle has:

Spoked wheels

Cable operated drum brakes, front and rear

Fiberglass bodywork

And was manufactured under a dictatorship by a company originally founded to make film projectors.

My favorite?

  • keyed entry & ignition but separate trunk key
  • footwell vents for fresh air
  • convertible top requires manual snaps in the rear as well as windscreen latches
  • convertible top window zips down
  • pop-up headlights
  • rear drum brakes
  • trumpet style door locks that dig into your upper arm

Got it on your first guess.

I was struggling with yours. My guess is TR7/8.  Only thing that fits some of the criteria, but I'm shaky on some items.

Must... resist... looking... at profiles...

Mine came with the 145 hp V8, because I didn't want the "injected" 165 hp V8.

"Flatwire" seemed like a good idea at the time. So did a supercharger. They were right about one of those.
