I was at the L hardware store a while back and saw that the long extension poles were on sale and bought one. Problem is I drove the Miata and this pole was almost as long as the Miata. So I dropped the top, laid the pole along the top of the door and tied it off at the mirror and seatbelt bracket and top bows. Someone walked by as I was doing this and mentioned Miata-jousting. Wish I'd taken a picture.
Oh and mine is BRG also except base edition.

I know it's really Emerald Mica but I call it my Wannabe BRG. 
Hmm, probably no worse than having a fat person sit next to you. At least its probably quieter if you decided to drive "fizzy", though it might have a tendency to fall over on you in right hand turns. Then again, a fat person might too, and who'd want a screaming fat person falling on them when they're trying to "fizz"?
