I have and old Galaxy S4. I have a new Scion FR-S with the factory Pioneer head unit. They played nice together. No problems whatsoever. Then Samsung updates the media player. Now the media player has trouble connecting. The phone's hands free calling feature works fine still, its the media player that's borked. Connect, re-connect to get them to talk to each other. Eventually I can get the music started, but the touch screen displays the info of the first song played...and never refreshes.
Oh the screen says NWA, but the song is clearly One Piece at a Time by Johnny Cash. I've wiped both the head unit and phone and re-paired them to no avail. Any ideas how to fix this? Any open source player that works well?
