I work for the same company as 93 EXcivic, and it's always a long battle everytime you deal with MSHA. A few examples; they will let you use vasoline and not krytox because they really don't know what it is and will not do the simple research, or the fact they will not let you use multi-level PCB boards as they don't understand those either.
Just this week we've had issues with the approval board granting approval, but the inspectors will not approve it. Sounds alot like my time in Nascar....
Of course these aren't the real issues of the week, I won't go into those.
Before we were bought out, we had a guy that used to work for MSHA, and he told me once that no one wants to make a decision as it might look bad on their record if it doesn't work. And that some simply will learn anything they don't already know.
There's a big dent in my office wall right now as all of these dealings are changing by the minute.
