It would've had more sponsorship decals on the side, but most of the companies paid the ransom. I would've thought Enkei could've afforded to pay them to not put their sticker on that beast. Just another sign that economy really is that bad I suppose. At least it's not so bad that somebody somewhere doesn't have the $ (or Yen) to spend on something so awful.
I kinda like it... Aside from the color, and the fact that it looks like someone backed a Caterham into a really fancy toilet.

There's a little one of the front here: http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/246598/

They have the right idea - just not enough of it. Covering the rear wheels to clean the air to the wing is fine but... as long as the front is all drag why bother... and the air needs to go somewhere... why do those skirts have a back?
thinking aloud I am surprised nobody makes a clean nose that covers the front area including tires for the Sevens. Donkervoort did something like that on the car they won the Nurburgring lap record but why not fill the whole area with clean, sexy aero that feeds a wing like a ALMS prototype?

Years ago Westfield made a clubman body kit. On a quick google these are the only pics I can find. http://www.seight.com/westf.html

I don't want to threadjack... but yeah! thats what I'm looking for... why isn't this more prevalent? I have a rough 3yr plan for building one of these with my boys and I want one that does not hit a wall of air at 105.

Is that really just a Seven in a fancy hat? I thought those were a different chassis. I saw the the other thread someone posted where these bodies are available for $2k or so... if its really just a matter of welding tabs on a Seven frame for dzus clips... I'm doing it.
Yeah, different chassis. They're also quite shrink-wrapped around the original mechanicals, making it difficult to fit anything larger than the tiny A-series and some fairly narrow tires.
However, Caterham did basically put a different dress on the Seven in the mid-90's. It wasn't much of a sales success, but the concept was there. Meet the Caterham 21.

... or a Chrysler Slant Six.

BTW, that thing got 131 mpg in the economy run.....with a rover v8 engine. Obviously, that's not driving it like you would on the street. This link doesn't say it, but I seem to remember hearing that the car was still street legal, and that it was driven to the event and then had hard-as-rocks low rolling resistance tires put onto it for the contest.
