I want to know what cars even you guys wouldn't consider buying. Post them up here. I'll start.
Geo Metro 4 cylinder. This has waaay too many cylinders. The 3 cylinder is more fun. It's a real street racer--you can drive the piss out of it and not break any laws. The 4 cylinder is way to fast for this purpose.
Pontiac Aztek.
Your turn.
Call me crazy, but I think the Aztek will be popular in 50 years. It's the Edsel of my generation.
Granted, I still hate it. Too much plastic.
My father has an AWD Mercury Montego, possibly my least favorite new car.

Is this the only time that "Miata" isn't the answer?
Absolutely any FWD 4 cylinder built in America, but maybe that's just me
Ill say Miata, they make this sports car thing too easy

Ford Tempo w/auto3spd......thank god mines gone, and thank you old lady that ran me off the road.

Aw cummon. What about the GLH?
I wouldn't consider most GM cars that didn't end with vette and start with cor. Other than that, I'll never buy a Porsche that I can afford.

What?!?!?!!! No Neon SRT4? Shelby Charger? GLHS? Cobalts SS (S/C or T/C)? Escort GT? Probe GT? Eagle Talon? Plymoth Laser?SVT Focus? Escort ZX2? Turbo Omni? Ford EXP GT???

I have always wanted to take a Geo Metro four door wagon and stuff a 1300 Twincam from a Suzuki Swift into it. I don't know why. It just sounds kind of evil.
I actually don't mind the Aztec, but i still probably wouldn't buy one. for cars that I will NEVER pay money for, the Ford Aspire. what a garbage car. dead nuts reliable, but garbage.
They actually built Camaros powered by Iron Dukes in the 80's.

None of those would really get my heart racing, besides Escort GT is a Mazda, Probe GT is a Mazda, Escort ZX2 is a Mazda, Plymouth Laser is a DSM, Eagle is a DSM, and so on
First generation Hyundai Excel? Or how about a first generation Hyundai Elantra?
That said, I bet a first gen excel would be a LOT of fun with a 2 litre Mitsu engine
Anything that's 4 cylinder, auto tranny and powers the front wheels.
Anything automatic that has more than 11 pounds of car for every ft-lb of torque.

Just about anything Fwd with a Buick nameplate. Especially if it has four cylinders.
Catera?!?!?!!! Hello! It's loosely based on the same RWD platform as the GTO! LS1 swap baby!
I don't think any Buick came with a 4-cylinder. The Reatta maybe?

AMC matador - yeesh - rust improves the looks. Lots of other mid 80s murican cars would get passed over.

Reatta was only a six, IIRC. Skyhawk (same as crapalier), Somerset (grand-am), and the Skylark from the early eighties on all had four bangers. And I think that the Century might have had an Iron Duke in it at some point.
Omni GLH and other variations of the turbo l-bodys sound cool, but one you have one you realize all the bad parts. Im glad someone else has mine now, and i have a nice reliable 22 year old italian car to drive. lol Id buy an omni glhs, but other than that i wouldnt want another one.
Probably the main cars i wouldnt buy would be the ones that are boring but still have tons of problems, like a ford windstar, dodge inprepid, etc, or the ones usually driven by douchebags, like an H2, escalade, etc, or most of the popular american muscle cars that cost $5-10k for a rusty POS.
I have a welder and a Saw-Zall, therefore I have no such list.

I was going to chime in with the Tempaz but that's already been covered. On a similar note, the Celebrety/Cutlass/Buick/whatever GM FWD 60° platform from the mid-eighties. Family had one (Cutlass Cruiser wagon, with faux-woodgrain and beastly 2.8 carby) when I was a teenager. It wasn't horrible; it was just basically mush to drive and completely boring. I'd rather have something that actively tries to make me hate it.
