For those of you interested in skateboarding stuff, it just got released recently that Lizzie Armanto - who skates for Birdhouse and is slated to represent the Finnish skateboarding team at the Tokyo Olympics - took one of the worst slams in skateboard history about 6 months ago. She was getting footage for a Birdhouse video, and fell into the gap on a megaramp. It is crazy stuff, but she has recovered and is still planning to skate in the Olympics.
Here is footage of the slam. No graphic floppy limbs or viscera or anything like that. But my stomach still dropped seeing this.

Holy hell. A shame they kept interrupting her. I just couldn't get through the commentary video.
Ouch is all I have to say.
Really odd slam, as in, was weird how the board sort of stopped before the top of the ramp and she just kept going.
Rough slam though, glad she's healed up!

I thought that too. It looks like she faints or something and starts falling forward. Normally if people choke I figure they tend to either freeze in place or try to bail *away* from the hazard.
But it makes me feel a lot better that they kept the footage under wraps until after she was back to throwing down inverts on vert ramps.
