cleaning out the garage today and I re-discovered this laughable product from the 70's or 80's. I never tried it and it seems the propellent has leaked out so it will remain a mystery...

Would this work?

It seems like it might make it feel a little cooler briefly. It just alcohol and water. I can't imagine that it would actually lower the temperature.

Its possible I suppose- the stuff that comes out of a can of air for keyboards gets pretty damn cold if you turn it upside down.....

might take the edge off until you can get the windows open and car moving..

If you live in the desert it will help some, but in the hot muggy Midwest it would only make it more humid.

That's tetraflouroethane, not the same thing.

It's possible that dilute ethanol spray could make a slight difference.

A better solution is a Leaf-style solar-powered cabin extractor fan. I want to make something like that.

It would probably work best if you sprayed the shifter, steering wheel or metal part of the seat belt. Just spraying the into the air inside vehicle, probably not so much. It just the latent heat of the alcohol/water mixture sucking up heat to turn into a vapor.
